Horizon 2020 ICT Topics 2016 - Cloud Computing & Software Technologies

On Friday 20 November 2015, the UK Knowledge Transfer Network is hosting a workshop on Horizon 2020, the largest ever EU Research and Innovation funding programme with an available budget of €79bn. Co-hosted with the Horizon 2020 National Contact Point in ICT, the workshop focuses on H2020 calls in 2016:
  • ICT-06-2016 – Cloud Computing
  • ICT-10-2016 – Software Technologies
 
The purpose of the event
  • Present information on the range of European funding available in 2016 & 2017 via Horizon2020 relating to Cloud Computing and Software Technologies; 
  • Network with stakeholders already engaged in or seeking to engage in these areas; 
  • Learn from case studies of past/current projects in these areas 
  • Present practical aspects on 'How to do it'
 
Who should attend? 
Businesses, academics, and research (in particular with prior experience in engaging with European and/or national funding) wishing to lead or collaborate in European-funded research and innovation. Businesses wishing to understand the potential for participating in the future.
 
Agenda and Elevator Pitches
Silvana Muscella, CEO of Trust-IT Services Ltd, offers a practical guide to Horizon 2020 proposal writing, highlighting a number of success stories like the first phase of CloudWATCH (September 2013-September 2015). 
The event offers opportunities for 'elevator pitches' during the day, each one lasting two minutes.
